 Mercedes-Benz has introduced their new electric version car named 2011 A-Class E-CELL, will be produced in a limited 500 units will be leased to customers. The five-seater with battery-powered electric drive and features a generously dimensioned interior and luggage compartment for maximum versatility.

New Mercedes A-Class E-Cell features a permanent-field synchronous unit developing a peak output of 70 kW, a continuous power rating of 50 kW, and a high maximum torque of 290 Nm. The sprint from 0 to 60 km/h is made in 5.5 seconds, while top speed is limited to 150 km/h. Two high performance lithium batteries will provide enough power for the family electric car to travel 100 km while also providing a quiet, emission free ride.
New A-Class E-CELL also has plenty to offer in terms of Mercedes-quality equipment. Standard highlights in the premium quality AVANTGARDE version of this innovative electric car include bi-xenon headlamps, COMAND APS, an active park assist for automatic parking and the THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control system. A special additional function is the ability to preset the interior climate during charging, i.e. raising or lowering the compartment temperature according to the weather conditions. The car also has a comprehensive range of safety features, including rear window bags and sidebags, and sophisticated seating and lighting packages.

In interior of Mercedes-Benz B55 was upgraded with sport seats and steering wheel, Alcantara linings and other, more luxurious materials.The B55 runs on 18-inch AMG alloys with 235/50 front and 255/35 rear tires shod. The final performance is a suspension of K & W includes sources. The rear axle has been obtained from a W210 E-Class and the brakes were adapted to the C32 AMG parts catalog.

Trainees from the factory of Mercedes-Benz in Rastatt, Germany opposed B200 CDI diesel model in a sports car in its own right by planting a 388 hp 5.5-liter V8 and the transmission of motion from front to back, called B55. Peter Wesp do is plant manager of the project idea and the execution fell on the shoulders of champion Andreas Rieger WRZ and Matt and the team of twelve specialized second and third year on the production of automobile mechanics and mechatronics .

Under the plan, the spatial concept and organization of class B should remain unchanged. The interior was, however, upgraded to the newly acquired skills and to reflect the overall goal was to create a vehicle for everyday driving.
