Once I saw this wheel on an Audi blueprint I knew I had to make it! It's the wheel from the Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro. Maybe this will be start of modelling the car? But I won't hold my breath. Tyre is based on the Pirelli P Zero, which is the one used on the car.

Fascination taken to a new level of intensity: The Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI quattro combines breathtaking performance with the experience of open-top driving. The 386 kW (525 hp) V10 engine accelerates the high-performance sports car with the lightweight cloth top to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 4.1 seconds on its way to a top speed of 313 km/h (194.49 mph). The Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI quattro features a fascinating package of technologies, including the Audi Space Frame (ASF) made of aluminum and carbon fiber composite, quattro permanent all-wheel drive, LED headlights and the innovative seatbelt microphone.
The Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI quattro captivates from the very first glance. Its lines offer a unique interpretation of the dynamics and emotion of a high-performance sports car. Two distinctive silver cowls, into which the large air intake openings are integrated, give the long back a powerful profile. Unlike the Coupé, the Audi R8 Spyder has classic air intakes behind the doors. The rear side panels and the large cover over the storage compartment for the cloth top are made of a carbon fiber composite.
The Audi R8 V10 is the result of cumulative know-how from Audi's string of Le Mans victories. Its naturally aspirated engine combines racing technology such as dry sump lubrication with FSI gasoline direct injection. The ten-cylinder design is the perfect synthesis for impressive top performance, mighty pulling power, and low weight. Starting in 2009, this engine will also prove its potential on the world's racetracks - in the new audi R8 GT3 Racine Car Audi is developing for customer teams in conformance with the GT3 rules.
The V10 engine in the production sports car will be almost identical in construction to the one in the racing version. Its displacement is 5,204 cc, at 6,500 rpm it delivers 530 Nm (390.91 lb-ft) of torque, at 8,000 rpm its power tops out at 386 kW (525 hp).

The Audi A1 is the first premium automobile in the small compacts class - a true, fully-fledged Audi.
Audi has announced details of its hot wagon to be unveiled at the IAA frankfurt Motor Show 2007. The biggish wagon with 1660 litres of luggage space is a looker (scroll down to the RS6 Avant photo gallery below), and underneath its hood will be lurking a monster V10 engine producing 580 bhp. That’s supercar territory there! The actual launch is expected to be in April 2008.

The new V10 engine has FSI direct injection and twin turbochargers. The Audi RS6 Avant will offer permanent quattro four-wheel drive, and a sports suspension with a lot of electronic tinkering systems attached. Engine compartment lid and the front wings are made of aluminium in order to reduce weight.
The next version of the Audi RS6 will only be available for purchase in Avant guise.
